Dan Loops is one of the artists who works on our Secure Childrens’ Homes (Youth Justice Settings) programme and has recently supported our work with Kirklees Year of Music. He performs at the ‘Aldinebury’ Festival which is organised by residents and staff to celebrate young people’s musical achievements, and works regularly as a music tutor and session leader.

Formerly known as Pro-VERB, Dan Loops is a Sheffield-born writer, acoustic rap artist, poet, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and videographer. He released his debut album ‘An Album’ to a sell-out audience in 2016, combining witty rap lyrics with beautiful guitar arrangements, beatboxing and vocal loops. The album is now available to download on iTunes and all good online retail stores.

Dan spent 2011 -2014 playing anywhere and everywhere, honing his craft. He supported Kate Tempest at the Lyric Festival Sheffield in 2012 and the played the 02 Arena in 2011. He is a regular at festivals far and wide including YNOT Festival and Sheffield’s Tramlines. More recently, he has turned his talents to narrative film making, penning a feature length film in 2016 and spending the year making music videos, short films and plays.
