Alice Beckwith is a music educator who works all over the UK.

Composer, oboist, and dedicated music educator, Alice's musical obsession began at an early age: often to be found perched on the piano pedals long before the keys were within reach. She now divides her time between projects as a versatile freelance musician - with a particular passion for chamber opera and opera education.

As composer in residence with Lodge Moor Children's choir she enjoys exploring and workshopping new ideas on a regular basis. An ABRSM examiner, she runs a private studio teaching oboe and piano, and delivers regular academic teaching and school workshops. Alice is a passionate advocate for arts engagement and accessibility, and specialises in producing opera for small-scale venues. She is a 'Repetiteur' for Mahogany Opera Group's Snappy Operas project, and was a staff accompanist for Children's International Voices of Enfield between 2014-17.

Alice read Music at Lincoln College, Oxford University, subsequently studying composition at the Royal Academy of Music. She is a former project manager for YPIA (Young People In the Arts) and has worked with Guildhall School of Music & Drama, English National Opera, Schott Music, and Ulverston International Music Festival.
