The BBC Proms doesn’t call itself the world’s greatest classical music festival for nothing. Founded in 1895 at the Queen’s Hall, London, this year there are 72 concerts. Our pick of those on BBC iPlayer are:

From Glastonbury, we’ve gone for Arlo Parks’ choices from the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury - BBC iPlayer - Glastonbury - Arlo Parks Presents BBC Music Introducing at Glastonbury – a diverse range of young people doing what they love most.

We’ve our fair share of festivals in Yorkshire too, with Kate Rusby’s Underneath the Stars in early August to Leeds Festival happening this coming weekend (our Director’s favourite, Dave, is headlining) and Sheffield Tramlines... all musical tastes are catered for this month. But the festival season doesn’t end when the new school term starts.
