We’re excited to announce that we’ve received a £20,000 grant from The National Lottery Community Fund: Awards for All to support our work with young people through dedicated studio sessions.

This funding allows us to offer free, high-quality music studio time for young people aged 16–24, helping them to explore creativity, build confidence, and develop valuable skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Who It Will Support

Our studio sessions are primarily aimed at young people referred to us by partner organisations. These partners work closely with young people who are:

  • At risk due to personal or social challenges
  • Experiencing mental ill-health or emotional difficulties
  • Living with additional needs or disabilities
  • Facing economic hardship or limited access to creative opportunities

We believe that every young person deserves the chance to express themselves, find their voice, and feel valued. Through music, we create space for that to happen.

What Happens in the Studio

Working one-to-one or in small groups, young people collaborate with our experienced Music Leaders to create original music in their own style. Whether it’s rap, grime, R&B, indie, or experimental sounds, their voice is at the centre of everything we do.

These sessions are tailored to the individual – offering not just technical skills in music production, songwriting, and performance, but also a chance to connect, reflect, and grow.

Why This Matters

Access to creative spaces can be life-changing. For many of the young people we support, this is their first experience in a professional studio. Beyond the music, these sessions can:

  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Provide a sense of achievement and ownership
  • Encourage positive social interaction
  • Offer a pathway to further education, training, or employment in the creative industries

We are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting these studio sessions.
