We’re delighted to share that the Radcliffe Trust has awarded Yorkshire Youth and Music £5,000 to support our work at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Becton School and Chapel House.

We began working in these settings back in 2019 with a small pilot project. Last year alone, we reached over 570 young people. This generous funding will help us continue delivering music sessions that make a real difference.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital have collected data showing how music sessions support young people’s mental and emotional health. A recent analysis found that 94% of students showed an improvement in their mental wellbeing during a music session, with the remaining 6% maintaining their level of wellbeing.

At Chapel House, we’ve seen how music can be a powerful tool for personal development. Our sessions are flexible and designed to meet young people’s individual needs—whether through small group work or bespoke sessions that support those living with anxiety or social isolation.
