From 25th May 2018, the GDPR or General Data Protection Regulations came into force across the UK, and Yorkshire Youth & Music is compliant with the new regulations.

The data we collect directly through www.yym.org.uk is via:

• Comments on our posts (only if you post them)
• Signing up to our bulletin list (which you have to proactively join us to receive each month via our subscription form) – we use MailChimp and their privacy policy is here

We do not and will not share any data we collect directly with third parties.

We also have access to data via:

• Cookies on our website (allowing us to collect info on how many people have visited our site, what our visitors our particularly interested in, how long they visit, etc) – please check out our cookie policy to find out more
• This includes data collected via Google Analytics. Google anonymises the data and their privacy policy and information is here. We cannot and will not see or store personal details (like IP addresses) of the people who visit our website.
• Embedded content on our blog that links to sites (YouTube or Vimeo) who may also collect your data. Please refer directly to their websites for their respective policies on data privacy and protection.

All data collected via third parties is anonymised and is therefore not linked to any individual.

We will keep your data indefinitely, until you decide to:

• – Unsubscribe from our bulletin (which you can do so easily via a link at the bottom of every newsletter we send)
• – Delete a comment you may have made on our website

Your rights include the right to ask what data we hold, why we hold it and how long we will keep it for. You can also ask us to delete your data by contacting us at [email protected].

In the case of this activity the following will apply:

3. Our website provider will not transfer your data to any other third party, or transfer your data outside of the EEA.
4. They will store your data for a maximum of 7 years.
