Yorkshire Youth and Music is awarded Musical Inclusion funds for South and West Yorkshire

Musical Inclusion (or MInc) is a nationwide Youth Music funding programme that supports the delivery of music education projects that:

  • make good quality music making opportunities available to all young people, especially in areas with little or no provision (including offering opportunities to children in challenging circumstances and children with special educational needs)
  • test out new education models
  • share good practice amongst music educators
  • develop the skillset of the music education workforce

Yorkshire Youth and Music are the grant-holders for Musical Inclusion for South and West Yorkshire (Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Bradford) from April 2012 to March 2014.
