Yorkshire Youth and Music would like to thank the Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Foundation for their donation to our Early Years project currently running throughout Calderdale.

We are working with Early Years staff at Calderdale Council to develop music and singing activities in Early Years Foundation settings (EYFS) and schools across the borough.  These settings and schools are receiving weekly visits and sessions from musicians with specialist skills and extensive experience of working with 3-5 year olds.  The work is specifically designed to help develop children’s Communication Language and Literacy Development (CLLD) and Personal Social and Education Development (PSED).  The donation received from the Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Foundation will contribute towards supporting children and the staff who look after them to continue working with music long after the project is completed.  The project is funded by Youth Music’s open programme and delivered in partnership with Calderdale Council Early Years Department.
