YYM has delivered a wide range of successful music education projects, working directly with children and young people in challenging circumstances across the Yorkshire region.

Musical Inclusion 2012 – 2015  >

The aim of the MInc programme was to ensure that access to high quality music making opportunities would exist for children and young people in challenging circumstances across England. Yorkshire Youth & Music were responsible for MInc in South and West Yorkshire

Amazing Music Technology  >

A research and investigation project working with a range of music technology equipment and software to enable children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities to make music

Bradford Early Years SEND  >

A project working with and tailored especially for very young children with SEND in six settings across Bradford

Deaf Music Ambassadors  >

A project to raise awareness of the value, importance and possibilities offered by music, to young people with any hearing loss – full or partial – through other deaf young musicians

Singing in Multicultural Settings  >

A project to engage children from varying multicultural backgrounds and encourage them to continue with musical learning after First Access

Soccer Sing  >

A project for boys at risk of disengagement, and / or who had difficulties with literacy and numeracy, linking singing to a series of coached football sessions, designed to encourage and increase the boys’ overall engagement and participation
