During 2005 we started up the Yorkshire-wide Music Leader project, with support and funding from Youth Music, using Lottery funds. We help musicians to develop their skills, so that the young people they work with get the best possible experience; anyone who makes music with young people can benefit from our high quality and specialist training opportunities.

It is open to community musicians, classroom teachers, instrumental teachers, people who run brass bands or any other professional or volunteer Music Leader.

The training we offer ranges from learning different types of music, teaching and learning skills, working with people with disabilities, and workshop skills, to project management and music technology.
