Supporting music leaders in the region

As the host organisation for projects that have supported the professional development of musicians and facilitators (MusicLeader and Sing Up in Yorkshire), we have supported over 3000 people to develop their music leadership skills over the past four years.

We employ freelance musicians to work on our projects, and we have a network of well qualified, experienced and skilled musicians who work for us. Many are trained teachers, or have post-graduate qualifications in music, though others have learned their musicianship through informal routes. We support people who work for us, particularly in developing further skills which expand their expertise. As well as employing trainers and experienced music leaders we also have opportunities for trainees on many of our projects. Trainee positions can be for those at the beginning of their career – or for someone who has a specialism in one particular area, and would like to extend their range.

If you would like us to consider you for our projects, please send us a covering letter and copy of your CV to the following address:

When opportunities arise, we will provide you with project briefs – but please note that we rarely employ people as musicians or trainers until we have seen them at work.
