“Thank you… for your career coaching session last year. It really inspired me to get some more training and try out lots of different musical activities, and I’m delighted to say that I now make my living entirely from music. I was able to give up my ‘office job’ in September and couldn’t be happier! My instrumental and theory teaching has really taken off, and I’ve recently started working as a teacher of baby & toddler music classes. I’ve also taken on leadership of a flute choir, and have been volunteering with Music in the Round, helping out with schools concerts, page-turning and the Classical Sheffield website. I now have my own website (http://www.sheffieldflute.co.uk/) [and] I’m continuing to work towards further music qualifications. I’m sure I’ll be in touch for another coaching session at some point as I develop my career, but I wanted to say thank you so much for the
meeting and follow up info, which really helped me to focus and move forward with all of this.”
Rachel Shirley, now full-time music practitioner
