Yorkshire Youth and Music has the solution for you!

Based on over 30 years of experience in music education and our continued commitment to the delivery of relevant information sessions to individuals and groups across Yorkshire, we’ve developed a career coaching and mentoring package to suit the changing sector landscape. This 70 minute, one to one session of professional discussion can cover any of the following:

  • – Skills analysis
  • – CV review
  • – Developing a professional portfolio
  • – Leap forward 12 – a learning plan for developing your skills over the next 12 months
  • – Fast forward 12 – a focussed action plan for the next 12 months
  • – Accessing funding for training
  • – Finding and developing professional networks

After your session, you’ll also receive a personalised, tailor-made ‘take away’ plan, to help you work towards your ideal career.

Our coaching is delivered by Deborah Welch. Deborah is a former music teacher with 25 years’ experience in formal and informal settings across the music education sector. She is an experienced mentor, a qualified Advice and Guidance Advisor and regularly delivers 1:1 career advice. She is also a GCSE and A Level  music examiner.

Yorkshire Youth and Music is a community music education company working across the whole of Yorkshire. We provide music projects for children and young people and train the adults who work with these young people across the Yorkshire region. We are Youth Music’s Musical Inclusion grant-holders for West and South Yorkshire.
